Sunday, August 19, 2012-3:00 PM

Invited Guest: All Churches in the California Conference will share the legacy that was started when Rev. J.J. Moore established Zion's first church on the West Coast in the city of San Francisco in 1852. Lunch will be served immediately following 11:00 AM Service and a Special Historical DVD in recognition of the history of First Church will be viewed.


Sunday, August 26, 2012 - 3:00 PM

Invited Guests: The three oldest African American Churches in San Francisco will share in this auspicious occasion: 1) First AME Zion Church; 2) Rev. Amos Brown & Third Baptist Church; and 3) Rev. J. Edgar Boyd & Bethel AME Church. Each church was established in San Francisco in August 1852. In addition, the Lenten Tabernacle Churches and representation from the faith-based community of churches in San Francisco will be in attendance. The focus of this gathering will be the acknowledgment and celebration of the African American Church in the City San Francisco.
